Q: How does the stairlift fit on my stairs?
All stairlifts are custom-made for your stairs only. An approved technical surveyor takes precise measurements. This means that, when we deliver it, it’s already set up to fit your home, We fit only to the steps of your stairs and not the walls.
Q : How does the stairlift work?
By paddle switches on both arms, buttons or a joystick – moved with the lightest of touches..
Q: What happens when the lift is downstairs and I’m upstairs?
The stairlift can be summoned with the remote control – there are two, so they can leave one upstairs and one downstairs.
Q: Can you get on and off easily?
All our stairlifts have swivel seats as standard. Either powered or manual..
Q: Can people still get up and down the stairs?
All our stairlifts are the latest slimline design giving the non user maximum space on the staircase.
Q: How is the stairlift powered?
DC technology (battery powered) .This enables the lift to work in a power cut.Battery life approximately 5- 10 years.
Q: Comfortable Seat?
All our stairlift seats are padded for extra comfort .The standard seat will take 20 Stones.We do an extra large seat that goes to 23 Stones.
Q: Is the stairlift noisy?
The stairlifts are wisper quiet and very smooth rides no jarring..
Q: Will the stairlift stop if there is an obstruction?
We have safety sensors on the footplate which is the widest part of the stairlift..
Q: Are there wall fixings ?
All our stairlifts fix to the treads of the stairsl.
Q: How will I know how to use the stairlift?
When the engineer have installed your stairlift they will go through all the features with you..
Q: What warranty is included?
All our stairlifts come with a 12-month warranty as standard.Also a free service at the end of the warranty.We can include a 1-5 year factory warranty if required.This can be taken out at anytime.
Q: How much are stairlifts?
The curved stairlifts are more expensive than the straight stairlifts.There is a lot more work in a curve .The price of both units will depend on the measurements of the staircase.
Q: What about Aftercare?
After care is 24/7 365 days a year. We aim to be with you within 2 hours.
Q: What if my stairs are very narrow?
Our stairlifts are now built for narrow stairs.Usually if a staircase is 28 “ wide and above we have no trouble fitting.If the stairs are narrower we can use a Perch seat or we can look at the Flow.
Q: How long does it take to install a stairlift?
The straight stairlift about 1.5 hours.The curved stairlift anything up to 5 hours.
